The NanoGenerator Flex-S Plus is an automated high-throughput formulation screening platform designed for nanoparticle synthesis, including lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), liposomes, and PLGA particles.

Notably, the rapid adoption of LNP technology has underscored the potential of nanomedicines. Scientific advancements have demonstrated that LNPs serve as highly effective drug delivery systems across various therapeutic applications. High-throughput LNP screening is a valuable method for identifying the optimal LNP formulations from a diverse set of factors.

The NanoGenerator Flex-S Plus streamlines this process, enabling a swift transition from screening nanoformulations to clinical evaluation and, ultimately, commercialization. NanoGenerator generates nanoparticles with better uniformity in size and smaller PDI. It is scalable from 0.1mL/sample screening up to 1L (>20L with custom design) large volume GMP production.

The Flex-S Plus System facilitates the rapid screening of nanoparticle formulations and early-stage mRNA candidates, offering a substantial increase in project efficiency. With a max throughput of 48/96 experiments an hour, the Flex-S Plus greatly streamlines screening processes. It offers comprehensive automation of complex protocols, enabling users to concentrate on other laboratory duties.

 

The system also permits experimentation with as little as 20 µl of payload reagent (e.g. mRNA) while providing control over collection volumes. This allows users to optimize the use of valuable materials.

Working Principle

Nanoparticle synthesis via microfluidic mixing has superior control of size, homogeneity, and repeatability to conventional batch synthesis methods. Two streams, aqueous and solvent, meet in a narrow mixing channel, forming nanoparticles with payload encapsulated.
